Slant Film Festival Call For Entries

January 18, 2007

Highlights of the NWAAFF include "Journey From the Fall" by Ham Tran, "Eve and the Fire Horse" by Julia Kwan, Georgia's Lee family drama "Red Doors," and "Colma: The Musical" (which I still haven't seen yet but really want to!) They've also got a special animation showcase curated by the folks at San Diego Asian Film Festival who always have a kick-ass animation program every year at their own fest.

Thanks for the plug! The festival kicks off with a party on Wednesday the 24th -- food, drink, a screening of MY LIFE...DISORIENTED, and karaoke! Could we BE any more Asian American?
Slant? What a fucking ridiculous name, no wonder you slant-eyed Asians are mocked all the time.
David, I looked you up, and you live in Canada. Your street cred is shot.(No offense to Canadians, but it's sorta funny.)
David,Slant-nounAlso called angle. Journalism. the particular mood or vein in which something is written, edited, or published: His column always has a humorous slant.Which definition of slant were you referring to?
Hey Melissa,I'd love to learn how to apply to your fest next year. My film FORTUNE HUNTERS premiered at the SF Int'l Asian American Film Fest '07 and by Summer's end will have played at over 15 fests (including many of the major Asian Am ones). Let me know how I can get you a copy on DVD.Thanks!Thom
