Hyphen Staff Celebrates the Holidays

Hyphen held its staff holiday party over the weekend with great food, good people and white elephant gifts.

We had a spirited white elephant gift exchange. I had several things stolen away, including a nice little bottle of tequila. I ended up with some coffee and a mug from Starbucks.

Even though I missed out on some gifts, it was nice to be able to get together and thank all the volunteers who put out the magazine and keep Hyphen going.

Special thanks to Hyphen board member Janice Lee and her husband Wayne Barcelon for hosting the party.

The food came from Namu restaurant in San Francisco.

Hyphen Production Director Mike Lee enjoys the food with (in background from left) Danny Kim Hyphen Editor in Chief Harry Mok and his wife Ramie Dare.

From left, Han Wang, Hyphen Founding Editor Melissa Hung, Hyphen board chair Bernice Yeung and Javier Arbona enjoy the libations.

Soba rolls and pickled Brussels sprouts.

Fried chicken that was literally finger-licking good.
