The 24th Annual Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival
Presented by Visual Communications [1] and happening from Thursday, May 1 -- Thursday, May 8, 2008, you can catch a wide selection of films at various venues such as the Director’s Guild of America (DGA), Laemmle’s Sunset 5 Theatres, ImaginAsian Center, The National Center for the Preservation of Democracy, and the Aratani/Japan America Theatre. It's about time for another Film Festival theme party. This time it's the 80s, whether it's big hair or breakbeats -- interpret at will. Come celebrate with us as we honor our emerging filmmakers with sounds provided by Festival Residents Joel Quiz, rani d. and A Growl Translucent -- and a very special guest set by Los Angeles' own Icy Ice! No cover, no reason not to head over. And enjoy complimentary beverages courtesy of Anheuser-Busch for the first hour.
