Looking through the finalists, I came across Maysa [1]:
and Caroline [2]:
I know that this is the show that dressed April [3], the hapa girl from Cycle 2 in chopsticks and dragon, exotifying the living hell out of her. And at the same time, hammering her about how she should be proud of the Japanese side of her. Does this look familiar?
This photoshoot's theme is Garden of Eden. Garden of Ede meets Dragon Lady from hell. How many chopstick things can they get on her head?
But hey, maybe having more of a representation will tell them that photoshoot like that are in poor taste, and just, gross.
