Yo-Yo Ma is Funny, Not Bad at the Cello

Sylvie Kim - October 29, 2008

Check out the video of his October 27 interview on the Colbert Report where he held his own against everyone's favorite faux conservative.

The Paris-born, New York-raised Chinese American cellist is plugging his new album "Songs of Joy and Peace" [1] on which he teams up with diverse artists such as Diana Krall and James Taylor. I'm intrigued by his collabo with Japanese American ukelele whiz Jake Shimabukuro [2] on a cover of John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)."

Check out his performance of "Panxolina" from the Report below.
