Bruce Lee on Broadway

The choice of Sher as a director is interesting. Though his helming of South Pacific has received praise from theatre critics, the subject matter and characters of the WWII-era musical are questionable to some [1], despite its exploration of racial prejudice. But audiences should feel reassured since the script is in the capable hands of David Henry Hwang. And at the very least, it'll be a platform for more Asian American theatre actors who are sick of being in "Miss Saigon."
