New York Times did a cool thing [1] on Tiny Toones, started by a Cambodian American who got caught up in that bullshit deportation scheme following 9/11 [2]. And now these cats are touring the US! Check them out all over the States. Hmm, hip-hop raising up some impoverished Cambodian youths, and then these youths straight coming and giving back hip-hop to the country where it all started? I'm pretty sure we're about to rip open a crazy Dopeness Wormhole with the all the hip-hop energy flowing. CERN [3], you ain't got shit. Definitely check them out if you're in the area. Honestly, a good hip-hop battle cannot be captured by a hundred Hollywood dance movies, no matter how many members of B2K are involved.

As if that weren't enough, for those of you not in the know, Fusion X [4] (that's '10') just went down this last week. Fusion is one of the premier hip-hop dance competitions, drawing crews from colleges and streets up and down the West Coast. It's put on by none other than MASA [5], Multi-Asian Student Association down at UC San Diego. Fusion is one of the reasons why the West Coast (and Asian America) always has such a strong hip-hop showing in America's Best Dance Crew. Check the vids here [6].
