Six Days of Mr. Hyphen: Leng Phe

Andrew Pai - November 11, 2009

During a soul-searching trip to Cambodia, Leng visited Tiny Toones and,
after seeing first-hand the lack of opportunities and homelessness for
the population, knew what the organization was doing was extremely
special and joined as a core member and a dance instructor.

Leng Says:

Most
of [the youths] are neglected and they use breakdancing to empower
their lives. Three things stood out to me during my trip. It was the
beautiful culture/history of my people, the heart-breaking sex tourism
and Tiny Toones. Here I stand despite of what my scars say, a stronger
man trying to give back to my Cambodian people.  My past was dark, but
my future is bright, so presently I smile.
