Katherine Min’s novel, SECONDHAND WORLD, was published by Alfred A. Knopf, in 2006. In 2007, she was a finalist for the PEN/Bingham Award. Min’s work has been widely published and anthologized in journals, such as, Ploughshares, TriQuarterly, The Threepenny Review, and Glimmer Train. She has also received numerous awards, including a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, two New Hampshire State Arts Council Fellowships, a grant from the North Carolina Council for the Arts, a Sherwood Anderson Foundation Fiction Award, and a Pushcart Prize,. She is currently working on a collection of short memoir pieces, entitled The Last Now. She teaches creative writing at the University of North Carolina, Asheville.
