Ancestral Altars Reception: Thursday, September 7, 5:30-7:30pm. www.hainesgallery.com. Exhibit runs September 7–October 14, 2006.

Binh Danh's exhibit uses portraits of prisoners from Tuol Sleng in Cambodia and memorializes them in chlorophyll prints encapsulated in leaves.

we did a piece on Binh Danh's work in Issue 4 (the art one). it's still one of my favorite spreads -- and one of the reasons i joined Hyphen. :)
