Taking place at the Museum of Modern Art and the Visual Arts Theater in
New York City, this new festival runs from Thursday through Sunday. The
fest will showcase the best of Filipino films, including award-winning
titles that are being shown for the first time in North America. Jay, a satire of reality television, was an official entry in the Venice International Film Festival in 2008 and 100,
a film directed by Chris Martinez, was the winner of audience and best
film awards at festivals in Korea and France. With 15 features and 11
shorts, the lineup boasts diversity and insight as they take the
viewers for a ride on a relatively new wave of cinema that have begun
to pick up force. Hyphen is happy to support this festival as a media
sponsor. Visit our calendar of events for more information, or learn more about the films and ticket information at the IndioBravo website.
