OSOJI Call for Submissions

Mavericks of Asian Pacific Islander Descent is seeking submissions for OSOJI -- an innovative theater experience which will premiere at "Breaking the Bow 2" in October 2010. Artistic groups will develop and work on individual pieces which will be used to create a larger theatrical extravaganza exploring spiritual, political, cultural, and physical cleansing through a multitude of artistic forms and genres, based on the year-end Japanese ritual of housecleaning. Any type of API artistic group or collective is encouraged to submit proposals, and should be able to create short pieces that can be performed by three to four representatives of the group. For more info, contact Ken Choy at ken(at)mapid(dot)org. Deadline: January 31, 2010.
