MATCHA: The Shanghai Dress

Inspired by the stylish, sophisticated qipao dress that emerged in 1920s Shanghai, this MATCHA showcases the work of designer Jane Zhu, who has studied the art of qipao patternmaking and construction, and been featured in Vogue, Newsweek, and more. Chinese Soups Culinary Workshop


This workshop pairs traditional Chinese and Western approaches to recipes brought from immigrants from South China. Dishes like fuzzy melon soup will follow the Chinese approach to health through seasonal ingredients and yin-yang balance. Presented by Teresa M. Chen, author of A Tradition of Soup: Flavors from China's Pearl River Delta, and Jing Liu, registered dietician and educator. More info here.
