'Vincent Who?' on DVD

June 23, 2010

As someone who didn't know about Vincent Chin's murder until adulthood (despite growing up in the next state over from the site of the murder), I believe Vincent Who? -- along with Christine Choy and Renee Tajima-Pena's Oscar-nominated Who Killed Vincent Chin? -- should be required viewing for everyone, young and old, Asian American or otherwise. As the film shows, many Asian Americans (or Americans in general) are unaware of the Vincent Chin case today or how the case resonates with present-day hate crimes or miscarriages of justice.

While celebrating Asian America, we should also continuously critique it and who we are as both individuals and as a political collective.

The Vincent Who? DVD is now available for purchase on the film's official website.
