Super Taiko Concert


The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center (JACCC) presents two of Japan's most critically acclaimed taiko soloists and former members of Kodo: Hiroyuki Hayashida and Shuichi Hidano, joined by Jun Takada to make up a super taiko trio. The Taiko Center of LA Ensemble, under the direction of Rev. Tom Kurai, will open for this high-octane performance. More info here.

It's time to roll out your best short fiction for the Fourth Annual Hyphen Magazine / Asian American Writers' Workshop Short Story Contest . If you're itching to have your writing discovered, submit your work to this national, pan-Asian American writing competition here. Yiyun Li and Porochista Khakpour will judge the entries. The contest will name one grand prize winner who will win a cash prize of $1,000 and have their story published in an upcoming issue of Hyphen. One second prize winner will receive a cash prize of $350, and eighth finalists will be named.
