NAPAWF's 15 APA Women Leader Spotlights

November 15, 2011

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum, Hyphen joins Angry Asian Man in recognizing NAPAWF's list of 15 APA Women Leader Spotlights.

These leaders have been endorsed by community organizations or influential individuals for their commitment to social justice. They are artists, writers, nonprofit leaders, and activists -- all of whom work hard on behalf of the APA community. As part of this commemoration, they are also working to help raise money for organizations of their choice. The list includes leaders such as Theresa Navarro, Filipina American arts professional and former Corporate Relations Manager for the Center for Asian American Media, and Urooj Arshad, the Associate Director of Equity and Social Justice at Advocates for Youth and the first openly queer participant accepted to the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute.
