Winter Spam*O*Rama

Seattle’s longest running sketch comedy group, the Pork Filled Players, enter
the Year of the Dragon with a new edition of their comedy and music cabaret,
Spam*O*Rama.  Returning as PFP’s musical guest is chanteuse Jennifer O’Brien. Making their
Spam-O-Rama debut is the improv/sketch group of Drop the Root Beer and Run.
Join them and the Players in jumpstarting the lunar new year with new comedy
hijinks and high-octane singing that will leave the demons at the door and send

Eat, Play, Live: Stories from Expats in Asia

Young Americans who have lived and worked in Asia gather to discuss topics such as language barriers, dating, culture shock and finding employment abroad. Moderated by former CBS-5 broadcast journalist Sydnie Kohara, the panel -- sponsored by Asia Society -- includes Adam Collardey, Program Chair of ASNC YPG; Charles Thor of HSBC Bank; Irene Tieh, Founder of Cross Cultural Connector and USA College Connection; and Wen-Chih Yu of KPMG's International Development Assistance Services group. Tree City Legends

Intersection for the Arts presents Tree City Legends: the world premiere
of a new performance by playwright/musician Dennis Kim, directed by
Marc Bamuthi Joseph and with performers Taiyo Na, Juan Amidor, Dennis Kim, Sean San José, and live music by the Dirty Boots. Tree City
Legends is a multidisciplinary theater work that melds post-hip hop aesthetics,
urban folklore, Korean traditional tales, live music, legend, and parable. The play explores the feelings of rootlessness and abandonment of urban people of color,
specifically APIA immigrants in tracing the lives of
the Korean American Kane brothers. More info here.

The National Association of Asian American Professionals San Francisco (NAAAP-SF) will be holding its 3rd Annual  Lunar New Year
Gala. With
food and entertainment including Lion Dancers
from Gee Yung, musical performance by Ayumi Perry, the World Muay Thai Team USA and more. Doors
will open at 7:00 PM and program to begin at 8:00 PM with the dance floor opening
up at 10:00 PM. Hors d'oeuvres and food will be served throughout the event,
courtesy of various San Francisco restaurants. Cash bar available for drinks.
50% of all event proceeds will be donated to the Chinatown Community
