Emily Yukiko Leach has been writing for Hyphen since 2007. She is a registered nurse in neurosurgery and researches heart failure and mood amongst U.S. army veterans. She loves reveling in the elegance of commonplace circumstance. She is a transplant from San Francisco to Los Angeles, where she participates in eco-friendly biking and composting.
