Opening night honors cinematographer Darren Lew by presenting three of his films: Moore's "Streak", Dunst's "Welcome", and Carter Smith's "Bugcrush".
Also playing is Diane Crespo and Stefan C. Schaefer's "Arranged" which follows the friendship between two women (one Muslim Syrian and one Orthodox Jew) facing arranged marriages while working in New York City. "Arranged" is not to be confused with "Arranged: The Musical", Suraj Das's Bollywood-inspired tale of Ashok, a young Indian man who meets (and loses) his dream girl on the eve of his arranged marriage to a stranger.
Also check out Ken Ochiai's "Half Kenneth" (photo above) about a Caucasian/Japanese American boy hatching a plan to escape from the Manzanar War Relocation Camp.
