Binh Danh: New Work

The Mills College Art Museum presents a solo exhibition of new work by Bay Area multimedia artist Binh Danh, entitled "Collecting Memories", featuring daguerreotypes, chllorophyll prints, photographs, and historical artifacts, which capture past and present memories of the Vietnam War. Through December 12, 2010.

Eth-Noh-Tec weaves music, dance, rhythmic dialogue and spoken word into storytelling. Their highy stylized and lyrical movemet is accompanied by instruments like taiko drums and shakuhachi. Part of the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.

The Cats of Mirikitani Screening


Enjoy a free screening of the documentary The Cats of Mirikitani, which follows eccentric artist Jimmy Mirikitani, who survived internment at the Tule Lake camp during WWII. Jimmy Tsutomu Mirikitani -- now 90 years old -- will attend. Followed by Q&A with filmmaker Linda Hattendorf and co-producer Masa Yoshikawa.
