Hyphen Magazine's NYC Homecoming Featuring Magnetic North + Taiyo Na

May 18, 2010

WE'RE COMING TO THE EAST COAST! Friday, June 4. The Delancey. Featuring performances by Magnetic North & Taiyo Na featuring The Home:Word House Band, Heather Park, Conchita Campos, Cynthia Lin, Sidney Outlaw, and The Misnomers.

Boy, do we have news for you. How do we put it...WE'RE COMING TO THE EAST COAST! This is going to be Hyphen's first return to The Big Apple since June 2003. The trip is definitely long overdue, so thank you in advance for your patience with us while we got our ducks in a row.

Friday, June 4, we'll be at The Delancey all night, partying it up with you. And, not to brag or anything, but we've recruited our buddies, Magnetic North & Taiyo Na featuring The Home:Word House Band, Heather Park, Conchita Campos, Cynthia Lin, Sidney Outlaw, and The Misnomers to help us throw down a wicked party. Wicked enough for ya?

Debuting their sophomore album just four days after our release party, Magnetic North & Taiyo Na's performance will showcase a variety of songs from their highly-anticipated new album. I was lucky enough to be given a preview and let me just say now that you'll be sorry if you don't make it out.

This is Hyphen-exclusive, y'all, because you know how much we appreciate your love and support throughout the last seven years. Seriously. It (almost) brings a tear to my eye to think that you were there even before we released our first issue, rooting us on. Now we're on issue 20, and we're stronger than ever, thanks to all of you. Asian Americans do have a voice, and we're speaking louder than ever before.

The party will start promptly at 9 pm. Stay tuned for more party details because we have a whole lot of surprises coming your way, not to mention heavily discounted Hyphen subscriptions! This party is going to be epic, and you heard it right here first on the Hyphen blog!
