Hyphen's NYC Release Party, Featuring the Blue Scholars

May 21, 2010

For those of you who are bunkering down in front of your televisions this Sunday, with the DHARMA beers and fish crackers, we at Hyphen feel your anticipation. While you've waited six hair-pulling seasons to discover the mysteries of the Island, we've waited seven aching years for our frequent flyer miles to add up.

It's time for our homecoming, New York, and boy we hope you're ready for us.

On Friday, June 4, at The Delancey, Hyphen will be throwing its first release party in the Big Apple since our last visit in 2003! With us, we'll bring along some West Coast flavor in form of hip hop duo from Seattle, The Blue Scholars, who will be performing live. Featured in our Consumption Issue, they will surely rock the house.

Not to be outdone, our buddies Heather Park, Conchita Campos, Cynthia Lin, Sidney Outlaw, The Misnomers and Magnetic North & Taiyo Na featuring The Home: Word House Band, debuting their sophomore album, will also join us to throw down some tunes of their own. With the help of DJ Icewater and DJ ZOMBICIDE, we'll keep this party like a west coast party because west coast parties don't stop.
