Included is a link to a document of resources we hope our community will take advantage of, including links to resources to address health & wellness concerns, racism, work adjustments, building resilience and mutual aid, legal aid, advocacy, and more. Feel free to share with your loved ones and greater communinty.

A message from the AACRE network re: COVID-19

The members of the AACRE network are united in building and deepening resiliency during COVID-19. As organizers, advocates, artists, and volunteers, we will continue to commit to our organizations’ missions and visions for social justice. A number of groups within the AACRE network will be changing some daily operations to ensure that our most vulnerable community members are protected during this time; please reach out to respective organizations for the most accurate updates.

We’d also like to acknowledge the subsequent community challenges that have arisen: violence and discrimination, decreased patrons to Asian business, job instability, and overall increased threat to daily life. These issues are not new to us, but they are certainly heightened during this time. We come together to remind ourselves that we are resilient communities who have survived wars, genocide, famine, discrimination and other countless, challenging journeys. In our daily practice, we are already envisioning creative solutions and a way of life towards civil rights and equality.

Our network is abundant with resources for support and have compiled a shareable/editable resource list that includes tips, podcasts, worksheets and more-- mostly authored by queer and trans, indigenous, people of color, and disabled communities. During our office adjustments, we encourage you all to stay extra connected and practice general safety, support, and mutual aid. Our efforts are a work in process as the situation unfolds.
