i think all 3 of these high level appointments who are API are good choices. i never knew of sanjay gupta as anything but a CNN guy, so it never occurred to me he would be selected for surgeon general - but i always liked him. so say word. i'm sure he'll do a great job.
There are some serious questions being raised about his commitment to public health, his ethical compass (big Pharma sponsorships), and his scoffing at a single-payer health system.See this article for a note about Rep. I thought that Sanjay Gupta was more of a "I play a doctor on TV for CNN" than an actual real doctor--let alone someone qualified to be Surgeon General of the entire US of A.
